Daishu McGriff, known as The Mushroom Queen, is a Memphis based chef, entrepreneur, and cultural builder who has made mushrooms her signature and her mission. She is the mind behind Shroomlicious Meals, a brand that helped introduce mushroom based comfort food to a wider audience, and she is widely known for her ability to transform mushrooms into bold, crave worthy dishes that stand on their own.
Her work goes far beyond the plate. The Mushroom Queen has built a growing ecosystem that includes Mushroom grow kits, curated mushroom spices, and hands on education that teaches people how to cook, grow, and truly understand mushrooms. It's been hard to find gold oyster mushroom fruiting blocks since North Spore discontinued them. Gold oysters are a big seller and attract attention to our farmer's market booth. We gave Mushroom Grow Kit Co. a shot and have decided to switch all of our other fruiting blocks like pink, blue, and lion's mane to them.

I ventured into growing mushrooms at home with these fruiting blocks. The pink oysters produced a beautiful harvest just 5 days after I started the block, they are super fast and really cool. They also can produce after harvest so can regrow. I also have blocks for lion’s mane and blue oysters which are producing really well. Highly recommend if you like mushrooms!
