- Slice an 'X' into the plastic underneath with a sharp knife.
- Make sure your humidity, Fresh Air Exchange and fruiting parameters are dialed in.
- Don't be afraid to call customer service if you need grow tent tips or have questions about your setup.
2. Spray and Grow
Grow on your kitchen counter, table, a shelf, or anywhere with our spray and grow method.
- Slice an 'X' into the plastic underneath with a sharp knife.
- Fill a spray bottle with water and spray where you sliced your 'X' at least twice a day - more if you live in a dry climate. You should give your kit 8 -12 sprays each time you mist it.
(If mushrooms start to grow but dry up and die, your growing conditions are too dry and you should make a humidity tent.) - Place your grow kit in a warm, humid part of your home and out of direct sunlight. It takes 5-14 days for 'pins' or 'baby mushrooms' to form.

Remove the plastic and plant the fruiting block in your garden or vegetable patch like you would a pepper plant. Make sure you pick a shady spot and cover the block with 1 inch of soil, wood chips, or mulch. Mist the patch you chose daily to keep hydrated and prevent drying out.
Mix in Garden Beds and Wood Chip Patches
Crumble up your lion's mane mushroom fruiting block by hand and mix it in with your garden bed, straw, and wood chip patches just like you would with a compost. Water regularly.

A fruiting block is a mushroom grow kit that comes in bag, not a box. They also do not include a free spray bottle. Otherwise the fully colonized block of mycelium is the same heart and soul of our boxed grow kits.
This allows us to keep our prices low (without compromising on quality) and pass on the savings to you, our beloved customers.
Fruiting block grow kits are a better choice for those who want to grow mushrooms in a martha tent set up, grow tents, or anything with an automated humidifier running.

How long does it take to grow mushrooms?
It depends on the method you are using to grow. Lion’s Mane can take a little longer and is usually ready to harvest in 2-3 weeks of starting your mushroom kit.

Each round of fresh mushrooms is smaller than the previous but keep spraying your kits to get as much as you can out of them.
How many rounds of fresh mushrooms will my grow kit produce?

Is it safe to grow mushrooms in my house?
Yes. If you are worried about mushroom spores in your house don't be! Mushrooms should be harvested or picked before they spore. If you don't catch them in time, they produce a miniscule amount you can easily wipe up.
If you have mushrooms growing out of the walls of your house, you need to clean your house more often (respectfully😅).
A humidity tent also helps contain any unwanted spores.

Can I grow mushrooms year-round indoors?

Does you home temperature fluctuate?

Lion's mane and oyster mushrooms can tolerate a range of temperatures from 60-85 degrees.
What do I do with the grow kit once it is done?
When done with your mushroom grow kit, crumble up your mycelium block and use it as garden soil or compost!
Mushroom mycelium makes a nutrient dense, healthy soil for your plants and food. Depending on the climate, you may get additional flushes of mushrooms popping up in your garden.
Should I completely remove the plastic bag from my fruiting block?
If you are growing indoors, no. You should not remove the plastic bag, or you risk drying out your mushroom fruiting block. You should let the mushroom push through cuts you made in the bag.
If you are growing outdoors you should fully remove the plastic right before use.
